Yuji Hirako is President and CEO, Member of the Board for ANA and Member of the Board for ANA Holdings. Hirako held this title as of April 1st, 2017. Hirako graduated from Tokyo University with a degree in economics. Since joining ANA in 1981, Hirako took a variety of positions in Tokyo. Hirako has spent much of his career in the network planning division, during which time ANA started international scheduled service and has shown massive expansion across Asia, Europe and North America. From 1999 till 2001, Hirako was Executive Assistant to President & CEO Nomura who decided on ANA’s joining of the Star Alliance. From 2004 till 2006, he was Director of Passenger services at Tokyo Airport Office. He took the position of Director of Revenue Management from 2006 till 2008, followed by Director of Finance & Accounting from 2008 till 2010. From 2010 till 2011, he was titled Vice President of Corporate Planning, followed by Senior Vice President of Marketing & Sales from 2011 till 2012. Then he lived in New York as Senior Vice President for the Americas as well as General Manager of New York from 2012 till 2015. He came back to Japan in 2015 to be assigned to CFO, Executive Vice President, Member of the Board for both ANA and ANA Holdings from 2015 till 2017. He currently resides in Tokyo with his wife and daughter.
