Peter has spent more than 35 years in airports both as a regulator and operator of airports across Australia, specialising in operations, planning, construction and management. In 2006, Peter joined Sunshine Coast Airport in Queensland as General Manager. Peter has taken what was a small regional airport and turned it into Australia’s fastest growing airport with more than one million passenger movements annually. Under Peter’s guardianship, the airport became the first Australian airport to achieve Carbon Neutrality under the Airport’s Council International Carbon Accreditation program, has twice been awarded Australia’s Major Airport of the Year, and recently received the Routes Asia Marketing Award for aviation development and marketing successes. Peter is past chairman of the Australian Airport Association Queensland division, a member of the Commonwealth Aviation Industry Advisory Panel, and was last year recognised for his contribution to the industry when he received the Outstanding Contribution to the Airport Industry award from the Australian Airports Association. In October 2017, Peter assumes the role of Chief Executive Officer for the newly privatised Sunshine Coast Airport. As a driving force behind the Airport’s privatisation, Peter will lead a talented and experienced team into a new era of growth and development for one of Australia’s leading regional airports.
